Inside The Box

Inside The Box

We buy most of our food at a really big box called a supermarket. Nearly all the food we buy comes in a box of some kind. We take the food-in-a-box home, and put it in a box called a refrigerator to keep it from spoiling. When we want to eat it, we put it in another box that makes it hot.

Occasionally, we order out for our food. It comes to us in, you guessed it, a box.

If anyone from ancient Greece or Rome, to say nothing of a native American from the time before the white man came, were to watch us doing any of this, he or she would have no clue what we were up to until we actually put something in our mouth and started to chew.

Chew on that for awhile.
