The Ansonia
To know the Ansonia is to love the Ansonia. I used to live on Manhattan's Upper West Side, and was awed and enthralled by this impossible building from the first time I laid eyes on it. One extravagance I will allow myself, should I ever happen to become incredibly wealthy, will be to rent myself a room there.

M.C. Escher, In Memoriam (6/17/1898-3/27/1972)
M.C. Escher, the great Dutch artist, passed away forty years ago today, March 27th, 1972. Here is my parody of one of his most iconic images, where he looks at himself by holding up a crystal ball.
